Savannah School Zones

Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools Attendance Zones and Registration Information

The Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools attendance zones for all our elementary (Gr. K-5), middle (Gr. 6-8), and high schools (Gr. 9-12) are determined by geographical boundaries. Each home address within Chatham County has an assigned school for each level. Students must be registered in the school attendance area in which their parents or legal guardian reside, unless they are enrolled in one of our Academy programs or the English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program. For more information about Academy programs, please call (912) 201-4170.

Parents of students, who speak a language other than English, may obtain information about the ESOL program by calling, (912) 201-5484.

A school locator is available on The Chatham County Board of Education website at under the Parent Information section. The school locator will list the assigned schools based on the address provided within Chatham County. You may also obtain this information by calling the Student Assignment Office, at (912) 201-5584.

The Pre-K program is based on program space availability and not the legal residence address of the parent/legal guardian. For more information about Pre-kindergarten programs, please call (912) 201-5635.

Registration will occur at the school where the student is eligible to attend. To register, please provide the following documents: the student’s Social Security Card, a certified copy of the student’s birth certificate, Georgia Certificate of Immunization- Form 3231, Georgia Ear, Eye, and Dental Certificate (EED), most recent report card( grades 1-12), unofficial transcript (grades 9-12 only), and Proof of Address (current gas, electric, or water bill, lease or other legal document).
